College Scholarship Fund

The Newpath College Scholarship Fund is a need based renewable scholarship fund that will allow deserving students meeting specific qualifications to attain their educational goals and succeed to their fullest ability. There is a selection committee that will review applications and interview students. Donations to this fund is optional. Any money donated to this fund will be distributed according to the Newpath Church Financial Policy which outlines designated fund procedures.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Demonstrated financial need
• Must NOT qualify for Federal Aid
• Cannot be legally employed apart from work opportunities provided on the college campus
• High School Graduate with a minimum of a 3.0 GPA
• Open to anyone ages 17 - 27 years old
• Distribution of funds conditional upon acceptance as full-time student into institution of higher learning

Timeline:

Application Period begins November 1^st; Deadline: Jan. 31^st

Acceptance Period Begins November 15th; Deadline: April 30^th

Monetary Award announcement May 1; Deadline: May 31^st

Funds can be donated via check, online via our Webpage Giving Module or via your smart phone using the Churchcenter mobile app.

To contribute online, click the "DONATE ONLINE" button below which will take you to the Newpath Giving web page. Click the "GIVE ONLINE" button at the bottom of the page. Designate the funds to go to the Scholarship Fund by clicking the downward arrow to the right of the amount box where it says General. Select "College Scholarships" option.

Funds for the scholarship can also be provided via check which can be placed in the tithing box after a church service. Write "College Scholarship Fund" in the memo line of the check. A check can also be mailed to the folowing Raleigh church address.

All students must follow the process and application criteria to be considered.

All Newpath Scholarship recipients must complete the annual Renewal/Update Form each summer to let the Scholarship Committee know whether or not they will be renewing the scholarship for the following academic year.
