RAISING A DISCIPLE OF CHRIST

Spiritual growth doesn’t stop because the buildings aren’t full. Raising a disciple of Christ is an everyday thing. We want to encourage you all to live out the rhythms of the word, prayer and worship.  Newpath Kids Ministry partners with parents to guide kids towards a heart for Jesus. Spiritual formation is about the heart and is mentioned hundreds of times throughout scripture.

We Have a Passion..

To equip children to know, grow and love God and to partner with you as you teach your children biblical truths. We desire to continue the teaching that has started in the home and that is why we start sharing simple Bible truths and the love of Jesus with children in the nursery rather than just providing childcare.

What to Expect on Your First Visit

Each weekend your kids will find a friendly atmosphere that is welcoming and engaging. Our teachers love Jesus and want to share that love with your kids!  Once your kids are in the classroom they will hear age appropriate Bible stories and lessons through video and reading directly from God’s word, make crafts, play games, and have snacks.

Check-In and Pick Up

Children are checked in at a designated area in the atrium. It is well signed so you cannot miss it. Both children and parents are given a coordinating tag. A tag must be presented to security when picking up your child for safety purposes. After the service exit through the side door at the back of the sanctuary next to the technology booth to pick up your children.

Safety First

Thank you for trusting us with your children- they are the most valuable blessing to us! All staff and volunteers undergo a background check through Shepherds Watch before they are permitted to work in the children's area. We also have a minimum of 2 volunteers serving in every classroom and more that serve when needed as well as having a dedicated security person who patrols the hallway during the service and makes sure all doors are locked to keep the children safe.

Facilities

We want every child and parent to feel like there is a place they belong. We have beautiful rooms for children off of the main sanctuary. There is a place for every child.

Mothers’ Nursing Room: A comfortable place to go and rock your infants when needed; a lounge with a privacy curtain for nursing mom's; crib and changing table available for your convenience. Coffee, water and granola bars are available should you need something to eat or drink while taking care of your infant. You can also view a livestream of the service in the room.

Nursery and Toddler Room: The nursery is where the foundation is laid for your little one to begin hearing the name of Jesus and to sense his love for them through the love and care of their teachers. Simple Bible stories, songs, objects and pictures using the Baby Beginnings curriculum help to make church a fun and a safe place. We also use a pager system in the nursery and toddler room to easily contact parents or guardians in the event their child needs them.

Preschool Room:

We use the Bible Adventure curriculum from Life.Church, the creator of the YouVersion Bible App. This curriculum helps preschoolers get to know Jesus using a video-teaching-based Bible Adventure, simple illustrations and object lessons and an in-room review time. Each unit asks a question, presents an engaging Bible story, and teaches a memorable Bible verse in a way that helps three and four-year-olds apply spiritual truth to their everyday life.

Elementary Room:  For children in Kindergarten to 5th grade we use the Konnect HQ Curriculum by Life.Church. Konnect helps kids connect with each other, the church, and—most importantly—with Jesus. Each week we will join Alissa, Edison, Ray, Mike, Tony, Harper, and Dot as they lead their friends and each other through real-world problems. Each lesson is full of powerful Bible stories, life applications, and Bible verses. As a ministry of Life.Church, the curriculum also provides coordinating YouVersion Bible plans, so parents can keep engaging their kids in the Bible throughout the week, anytime, anywhere.
