Our overall vision, mission and strategy are based on truths found in the word of God for His Church. These three work together in propelling us forward on His path. We believe God’s vision, mission and strategy for His church also mirrors His vision, mission and strategy for our personal lives as well. Therefore, everything we do is with the intent of leading people to experience a God-First Life on a Spirit-Led Path.

The Great Commission Jesus gave us the vision for His Church, also known as the Great Commission:

“Therefore go make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you, always, to the end of the age.”   Matthew 28:19-20 NIV

“Go” is the operative word! Our passion is to take the church outside of the building and into the life of our community, bringing with us the love and power of our redeeming Savior. We must be incarnational! Eugene Peterson, in The Message, sums up to the meaning of being incarnational quite eloquently when paraphrasing John 1:14: “The Word became flesh and blood and moved into the neighborhood.” We need to allow Jesus to minister to others through us. Let’s be incarnational.

At NewPath Church, our mission is leading people to experience a God-First Life on a Spirit-Led Path.

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”  Matthew 6:33 NIV

He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your fathers had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD.”   Deuteronomy 8:3 NIV

Our strategy is simply “how” we accomplish our vision and mission. We see five main church life streams that position us to live a God-First life on a Spirit-Led Path. The streams are Worship, Connect, Grow, Serve, and Missions.

As believers, we were created for worship. Worship is so much more than singing songs or lifting our hands. It’s about beholding Jesus face-to-face and surrendering!

“But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.”   2 Cor. 3:18 NKJ

True worship is transformational. When we worship we are strengthened in our faith, filled with His love, and focused on our triumphant Savior in all of life’s circumstances.

At NewPath Church, our goal is to make sure that living a God-First Life on a Spirit-Led Path is not limited to Sundays, but continues to be a goal for people throughout the week, and through their lifetime. We have strategically planned classes and events geared towards personal growth and leadership development. The goal is to equip you with the tools necessary to not only live a God-first life, but also influence others to do the same.

Plan to attend our Connections Classes:

  • Connections Class 101: Discovering NewPath  –  This class is a basic introduction to the ministry of NewPath Church and will help you understand church membership.
  • Connections Class 201: Essentials  – This class will help guide you through the essential beliefs that every believer needs and the actions to take to live a God-First Life on a Spirit-Led Path. You will also be introduced to our Growth Groups.
  • Connections Class 301: Discovering Ministry – We want to help you realize what makes you so unique.  This class will help you discover your personality, gifts, and purpose in life, and see how God combines them for the best fit in ministry.
  • Connections Class 401: Impact Teams – Attend an orientation or training session in the ministry area of your choice to learn more about how to be involved or to join one of the NewPath Impact Teams.

God designed us to enjoy life together in community. This is modeled perfectly through the relationship of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; even God does not exist alone. At NewPath, we desire to see each person fully engaged into a community where they have meaningful friendships, accountability, and support. This can be done through participating in one of our Growth Groups, joining an Impact Team, or participating in local outreaches and missions.

Growth Groups promote discipleship in the context of meaningful friendships, and empower people for ministry.

And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.   Hebrews 10:24,25 NKJ

Scripture tells us that even Jesus came not to be served, but to serve others (see Matthew 20:28). The act of serving (giving of our time to others) is a direct reflection of the heart and nature of Jesus Christ. When we begin serving, whether at a Sunday morning service or in the community, we become an extension of Christ’s hands and feet. Our hope is that you will join an existing Impact Team or consider starting a team in an area with which you are passionate.

The very last thing that Jesus said before he left earth was to go into all the world and share the good news with others (see Mark 16:15). At NewPath Church we desire to accomplish this mission through providing opportunities to participate in local outreaches and global missions. We send mission teams to many countries throughout the world with the goal of sharing the love and hope of Jesus Christ with a broken, lost, and hurting world.
