NewPath Women of Faith

Greetings in the Name of our Lord & Savior! As we start 2018, I wanted to take a few moments to introduce the NewPath Women of Faith fellowship and ministry group that was started at NewPath Church in January 2017.

Reflecting on 2017:

Spring Events

  • February ‘Dare to be-Light up the Sky” concert (Natalie Grant & Charlotte Gambill) in Raleigh
  • Monthly breakfast meetings at Golden Corral on Glenwood Ave. Raleigh (worship, prayer, fellowship &
    message/speakers)
  • Mother’s Day Breakfast at Embassy Suites in Brier Creek with Kenna West as guest speaker. During summer, the ladies met for a ladies-only pool party at a private home. Along with a dinner of Chinese and Italian food and a refreshing dip in the pool, we had worship, a short message, and an informative presentation on toxins found in household products.

Fall Semester

  • Jewelry fashion show at breakfast meeting at Golden Corral
  • Monthly breakfast meetings at Golden Corral on Glenwood Ave. Raleigh (worship, prayer, fellowship &
    message/speakers)
  • Christmas party at Despina’s café in December with a sit-down dinner, guest speaker, and traditional
    Christmas caroling

As a ministry group, The NewPath Women of Faith, raised funds for their programming and for community outreach.

  • Yard-sale fund raiser held during the Spring

at church and various community events. Raised over $1400 from these fundraisers

UMCOR relief fund and was divided equally for Puerto Rico, Mexico & Florida/Texas relief efforts
  • Pledges were made to support a child through Compassion International. Elizabeth, a 15-yr- old girl from
Ghana was chosen and money to support her for the entire year has already been collected

    • September – donated school supplies to the children at Hillburn Academy
    • December – soap from the fundraiser donated as gifts for the teachers at Hillburn Academy
    • Fundraiser money was used to buy material to make boy’s and girl’s clothes at an orphanage overseas-
these clothes (made by the NP Women of Faith) will be shipped to the orphanage in 2018
